Alessandro Cadario (he/him) is an Italian conductor renowned for his refined, charismatic, and eclectic musical style, combining deep knowledge of performance practice with a commitment to artistic excellence.
From 2016 to 2024, he served as Principal Guest Conductor of Milan's I Pomeriggi Musicali. Following his acclaimed 2015 debuts at the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino and Teatro alla Scala, his international career expanded across prestigious venues worldwide. He regularly conducts top-tier international ensembles and Italy's major opera houses.
Highly esteemed in both symphonic-choral and operatic repertoires, Cadario has led major productions ranging from Haydn's Stabat Mater, Beethoven's 9th Symphony, and Verdi's Quattro pezzi sacri to masterpieces like Mozart's Don Giovanni, Rossini's Il Barbiere di Siviglia, Puccini's Le Villi, and others. He has also conducted world premieres by composers such as Vacchi, Campogrande, and Tutino.
In 2017, Cadario conducted the Christmas Concert from the Italian Senate, broadcast live on RAI. Recent highlights include debuts at the Opéra de Marseille, Orchestra della Svizzera Italiana, and Fondazione Arena di Verona.
Cadario graduated from the Conservatorio G. Verdi in Milan and the Accademia Chigiana in Siena, holding additional diplomas in Violin, Choral Conducting, and Composition. Beyond music, he is passionate about astrophysics and quantum physics.
