Greg Beardsell
Greg Beardsell (he/him) is one of the UK's leading choral conductors, internationally recognised for his work with youth choirs, professional ensembles and large-scale choral education projects. Renowned for his exceptional choir training, rehearsal methods, and vocal pedagogy, he is widely admired for enabling singers to achieve remarkable artistic results.
For twenty years Greg was a principal conductor of the National Youth Choir of Great Britain, and has also held artistic leadership positions with the Irish Youth Choir, Ulster Youth Choir, Bournemouth Symphony Chorus, Royal College of Music Chamber Choir, and Gabrieli ROAR. He is an associate conductor of London Voices, the UK's leading professional session choir, and has prepared and conducted choirs for major concert, television, and film projects.
Greg conducts the annual Peace Proms with the Cross Border Orchestra of Ireland, bringing together over 35,000 school children each year in a unique celebration of music, education, and cross-community collaboration. He is a sought-after guest conductor, educator, and adjudicator, regularly leading workshops and masterclasses worldwide.
Known for combining artistic excellence with creativity, warmth, and musical curiosity, Greg enjoys devising ambitious choral projects that inspire singers, develop vocal confidence, and foster meaningful musical connections across cultures and communities.
