We invite singers to discover the depth and distinctive sound worlds of Nordic choral music! Focusing on works from Norway, Sweden and Finland composed between 1960 and 2020, the programme traces a path from the Romantic legacy of Sibelius, Grieg, and Alfvén to the bold modernism of the 20th century and the voices of our own time.
We will work on timeless classics by Einojuhani Rautavaara, Sven-David Sandström, and Knut Nystedt, as well as more rarely-performed treasures from the Nordic repertoire. The atelier offers a chance to experience the distinctive colours, textures, and expressive landscapes of Northern music.
